ITEM: Beautiful lacquer box with snowy winter scene and carriage coming through town. This piece has a mother of pearl background with hand painted scene on top of it. This piece was hand made in Russia. 

MATERIAL: Russian Lacquer Boxes are made from an art form known as Papier-Mache, a type of cardboard that is made from layers of glued paper boiled in linseed oil and then carefully dried and primed.
